You've heard the story of a wicked witch. We tell the stories of everyone else.
Taking an audience suggestion of a new character each night, The Others of Oz crafts a hilarious, heartfelt, brand-new musical live on stage. The backstory of anyone or anything, from the Tin Man to Aunt Em to The Emerald City, is brought to life through sharp comedic instincts, powerhouse vocals, and the magic of moment-by-moment discovery. Accompanied by a live band improvising every note they play, a cast of New York City’s top musical improvisers delivers performances that will take you far over the rainbow and turn this dreary world to color. Because in Oz, everyone—not just one wicked witch—deserves a chance to fly.

Maria Nally
Actor and Co-Producer
Maria Nally (she/her) is an actor who has been performing in New York City for five years. She performs improv regularly at The Magnet with her house team Ephemera, throughout NYC with her Indie Team Hell Yeah!, and on many stages with her indie teams The Daily Harold and Easily Annoyed. Maria has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Missouri State University where she studied with Lisa Brescia, Ann Marie Daehn, and Robert Westenberg, amongst others. Past scripted shows (in case you’re curious) have included Sister Act (Sister Mary Robert), Legally Blonde (Vivienne Kensington), and lots of other classic high belters.
Offstage, she is a huge fan of Robert Caro. If you’ve read his books, she would love to talk with you about them. If you haven’t read his books, she highly recommends them.

PJ Nally
Actor and Co-Producer
PJ Nally (he/him) is delighted to be following his dream of bringing improvised musicals to new artistic and professional heights. Seven years ago, he realized he really didn’t care about the master’s in public administration degree he was pursuing, so he tried improv, and scared as he was, he wanted to go do it again—and again and again. Once he found out there was a musical version, he knew he'd never stop.
PJ currently performs in New York City with Hell Yeah! Improvised Musicals, The Daily Harold, Easily Annoyed, and The Improvised Works of William Shakespeare. He’s studied with some of the best improvisers on earth and never wants to stop learning. He’s of the exceptionally rare breed of people taking professional voice lessons not for scripted theater, opera, or a band, but for the songs he makes up in the moment. Also, he’s 6’2” and not afraid to throw his limbs around to make people laugh.
